Primary school pupils tasked with creating and designing their own police badges.
LEGO City has confirmed the winners of its national Stay Safe schools competition.
Primary school pupils across the UK were tasked with creating and designing their own police badges in order to win a complete LEGO City Police range for themselves and their class.
The winner was Charlie Phillips of Grove Park Primary School, Sittingbourne, Kent.
The competition supported the Stay Safe campaign - an education resource from LEGO City and Greater Manchester Police for primary school aged children. The brainchild of PR agency Norton & Co and educational communications agency JazzyMedia, the campaign saw the production of over 85,000 activity sheets containing entertaining and informative activities designed to help children stay safe while at home and in public.
Over 660 primary schools across the UK received the hand outs earlier this year.
"We are so pleased with the results of the Stay Safe campaign and the entries from the competition went above and beyond our expectations," said Harry Harrison, LEGO City brand manager. "The children really identified with the activity sheets and they proved to be a big hit with teachers and parents alike.
"LEGO City as a brand looks to connect with children by allowing them to role play scenes based on every day sights and people. The LEGO City Police range in particular is one of our most popular themes and the partnership with Greater Manchester Police was the perfect link for this campaign."
Charlie Phillips added: "My grandfather was a policeman so I really enjoyed designing a police badge because the police look after everyone. I love building LEGO and I am really excited to win the Police sets for my class."
