Baker Hughes reported that for the week ending December 13, the US rig count increased by seven to 1,782, following 12-rig decrease the previous week.? However, the rig count is still down by 17 from 1,799 rigs during the same week a year ago.? The oil rig count increased by 14 to 1,411 whereas the gas rig count decreased by six to 369.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 24 in the week ending December 13 to reach 426, following a 17-rig increase the week before.? Additionally, the Canadian rig count was up eight from 418 rigs during the same week a year ago.
