This is part 2 of a 3 part seriesfeaturing an LED design challenge to re-think the idea of the lightbulb,and what a better lightbulb medium than the low-heat,log lasting LED bulb.With one designstudio,Booofrom Hollandand three designers,Front Design from Sweden,Nacho Carbonell from Holland and Studio Formafantasma from Holland.
Through the unique design effort to create a pendant that will nlast as long as the LED itself,designers Front Design have created a constantly changing pendant featuring:
A LED light source that will last for 50,000 hours And the most ephemeral of lampshades(a bubble)
With the expected time it takes the LED to burn out,this bubble pendant will have had 3 million different globe shades.Yet I am unsure as to how many gallons of bubbles?
