China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan is going to release its price policy for steel wires and bars for June.
It’s expected that CSC might remain its list prices for steel wires and bars unchanged for June due to decreased prices of steel products and raw materials in international market.
At present, CSC’s list prices for low carbon steel wire rods are at NT$23,100/ton and the actual selling prices are at NT$22,100~NT$22,600/ton.
Meanwhile, the spot iron ore prices have declined to US$137~US$138/ton C&F recently, falling by US$20/ton from the previous peak of US$160/ton C&F.
