Value of Indonesia's Steel Imports Increased by 43.5 Percent in Sept From Aug

According to the data announced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in September this year the value of Indonesia's steel imports increased by 43.5 percent compared to the previous month, accounting to $730 million, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel rose 4.6 percent month on month to $357.5 million.

In the first nine months of this year, Indonesia's steel import value came to $7.5 billion, falling 2.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel amounted to $3.6 billion, up 5.17 percent year on year.
