Shima Seiki Participating at DTG 2015 to Show Latest Solutions in Knitting

Japanese computerised knitting machine producer, Shima Seiki is participating at the 12th Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2015) in Dhaka, Bangladesh at Hall 6, Booth 602 and 603 and will be showing latest solutions in knitting.

They include the MACH2SIR, which according to Shima Seiki offers tremendously high productivity worthy of its ‘MACH’ name. With a maximum of 40 intarsia carriers, MACH2SIR features the largest number of intarsia feeders available.

With a maximum knitting speed of 1.4 meters per second in combination with the new R2CARRIAGE System, it achieves quicker carriage returns after each course, dramatically improving efficiency and productivity in intarsia production.

“Previously, programming for knitting with so many intarsia carriers used to be a challenge, but that issue is solved with the latest automatic yarn carrier setting software on SDS-ONE APEX3 design system,” Shima Seiki informs.

Another machine on display is the SVR122, which is its latest model and workhorse machine. High productivity is achieved with a maximum knitting speed of 1.4 meters per second, as well as with the R2CARRIAGE System that achieves quicker carriage returns.

SVR122 features the latest Shima Seiki technology, such as Digital Stitch Control System, full-time spring-loaded sinker system, stitch presser, yarn gripper and cutter and takedown comb among others.

With SVR, Shima Seiki says, it establishes a new benchmark for shaped knitting.

Featuring Shima Seiki’s compound needle and sinker system, NSES122CS is a computerized knitting machine specializing in the production of coarse gauge knitwear.

Compound needles are used for their short stroke and high stability suited for coarse gauge applications, while its patented spring-type sinker system, greatly increases pattern variety and at the same time assures gentle fabric hold down.

Other features specifically developed for coarse gauge knitting are double racking mechanism, as well as the R2CARRIAGE system for increased productivity.

Another model on show, the SSR112 stays true to its philosophy in offering the most advanced technology available at an affordable price. High productivity is achieved with a maximum knitting speed of 1.2 meters per second, as well as with the R2CARRIAGE System that achieves quicker carriage returns.

SSR112 also carries all the technological achievements like Digital Stitch Control System; full-time spring-loaded sinker system; stitch presser; yarn gripper and cutter; takedown comb; and more. It features reliability, productivity, user-friendliness and cost-performance.

Another model on display is an all-in-one 3D design system, SDS-ONE APEX3, which allows for smooth workflow from planning, design and programming to production and even sales promotion. Products can be checked with 3D simulation, such as 3D modeling, 3D fitting and 3D mapping. (AR)
