As project activity and spending continue to increase in many U.S. industrial sectors, Industrial Info is tracking approximately 580 projects in the U.S. worth $140 billion that were previously canceled or placed on hold that have returned to an active status. These "project restarts" are now under construction, or in the planning or engineering stages.
In terms of both number and value, the U.S. Power Industry, with projects valued at more than $86.65 billion, is at the forefront of these project restarts, leading all other industrial sectors in both the number and value of restarts across the U.S. The distant second-place position on the list in terms of value is the Metals & Minerals Industry, with $12.52 billion in project restart value.
Industrial Info has recently updated its U.S. & Canada Project Restart map series, which provides geographic details and analysis of the $140 billion of project restarts in the United States and $105 billion of restarts in Canada. Maps are available by individual market region or as a bundled package with discounted pricing.
