UK-based Hamilton Adhesive Labels has invested £500,000 in a new labeling press. The company bought an MPS 8 Colour UV Flexo Press from Netherlands-based firm Multi Print Systems (MPS).
Hamilton said the purchase will help the company to develop further into the cosmetic, toiletry and healthcare markets and enable the business to exploit the growing demand for the technology from within its own customer base.
Hamilton Adhesive Labels managing director and founder Chris Marsh said the MPS is quicker to set up, and uses a small amount of material.
The company has also purchased a 100% camera inspection system from A B Graphic International. The new system will eradicate print errors.
Hamilton operates from a 25,000ft² manufacturing facility and manufactures adhesive labels primarily for the food, logistics and beverage sectors.
