Land Rover has announced pricing and specifications for the Range Rover Sport, which will arrive in Australian showrooms in November.
The Range Rover Sport line-up will start at $102,800 for the TDV6 SE, powered by a 190kW/600Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6. The same grade with a more powerful 215kW/600Nm version of that engine, called the SDV6 SE, will be priced from $113,600, while the higher-spec HSE asks $125,800 and the flagship Autobiography $145,500.
The HSE is also available with a 250kW/450Nm 3.0-litre supercharged petrol V6 for $123,100, but that engine is unavailable in Autobiography specification.
Top of the Range Rover Sport line-up is the 375kW/625Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8, available in HSE Dynamic for $161,600 or Autobiography Dynamic for $182,400.
In each case, the new generation Range Rover Sport represents only slight increases on the outgoing seven-year-old model.
The TDV6 and SDV6 weigh 2115kg and claim 7.3-7.5L/100km combined, the V6 Supercharged 2144kg and 11.3L/100km, and the V8 Supercharged 2310kg and 13.8L/100km.
Standard on the TDV6 SE are 19-inch alloy wheels with full-size spare wheel, leather trim, six-way driver and four-way passenger electrically-adjustable front seats, rear parking sensors with rear camera, dual-zone climate control, and eight-inch touchscreen with hard disc drive and satellite navigation.
The SDV6 SE adds high- and low-range gearing, adaptive suspension, Terrain Response 2 and 20-inch alloys, while the HSE specification for both SDV6 and V6 Supercharged further includes paddleshifters, xenon headlights, power-folding door mirrors, perforated leather, 14-way electrically adjustable front seats, electrically adjustable steering column, aluminium tread plates, keyless auto-entry, and front parking sensors.
Choosing the Autobiography grade means adding 21s, high-beam assist, 18-way electrically-adjustable front seats, front seat cooling and heating and rear heating functionality, mood lighting, centre console fridge, and an 825-watt Meridian audio system.
Only the V8 Supercharged HSE Dynamic and V8 Supercharged Autobiography Dynamic score dynamic suspension, and torque vectoring with an active rear locking differential as standard; it is optional on SDV6 SE, SDV6 HSE and SDV6 Autobiography for $8100.
Big ticket items optional across the range include rear seat entertainment screens ($5000), metallic ($2100) or premium metallic ($4200) paint, panoramic sunroof ($4000), adaptive cruise control ($4700), blind spot monitoring ($1420), auto park assist ($1490), and three-zone ($1800) or four-zone ($3200) climate control.
Transforming the Range Rover Sport from a five-seat vehicle to a “5+2″ requires parting with $3700 on all models.
