Bruckner and Kiefel Technologies Have Their North American Operations Under One Roof

For the first time, sister companies Bruckner and Kiefel Technologies have their North American operations under one roof, at a new headquarters in New Hampshire that opened 1 June. Bruckner, a supplier of cast film machinery and film stretching lines, and Kiefel Technologies, which sells thermoforming and welding machinery, are part of Brückner Technology of Siegsdorf, Germany. The New Hampshire office also will build a North American presence for PackSys specialized packaging equipment for making and printing on tubes, metal and plastic closures and aluminum cans. Brückner bought the Swiss company PackSys in January. Together, Bruckner and Kiefel employ at total of 20 employees in Portsmouth. "It’s part of our platform strategy, " said Steven Hoenig, president and CEO of Kiefel Technologies. We get synergies in different countries, and it allows us to better address our customers’ needs. " Peter Hoffmann is president of Bruckner. The US operations has been in two separate locations. Kiefel was in New Hampshire and Bruckner was in South Carolina. In 2009, Brückner Technology sold the Kiefel blown film equipment business to Reifenhä user GmbH & Co. KG.
