Indiana-based Royal Adhesives & Sealants, a portfolio unit of Arsenal Capital Partners, has announced the acquisition of Clifton Adhesives.
For Cifton Adhesives, which deals in elastomeric and thermoplastic adhesives and coatings for various commercial and recreational applications, the acquisition builds on Royal's strong platform of leading adhesives, sealants and coatings solutions.
According to Clifton, the time is ripe for the firm to be part of a larger organization with the same operating philosophy and a good market fit and it is now better positioned to continue offering the customer support and service going forward that our customers demand.
Royal chief executive officer Ted Clark said the firm has been identifying niche companies that would enhance their product offerings in the markets that it wishes to compete.
"Clifton's elastomeric adhesives will add to our growing portfolio of leading adhesives and sealants technologies and we look forward to working with the Clifton team to successfully integrate the Clifton business into Royal." added Clark.
Arsenal Capital had acquired Royal in 2010 and worked towards growing the company organically and through acquisitions like that of Craig Adhesives.
