Robert Hammond … ‘strong base’
Clark Equipment will expand its materials handling business in New Zealand, making it the centre for distribution into the Pacific Islands.
The company is forecasting further growth in the region and wants to expand operations to meet future demand and opportunities.
Earlier this year Clark established a facility in Singapore and a dealer network through Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.
The NZ expansion is part of the company’s growth strategy in the APAC region. "Clark Equipment New Zealand's proximity and close cultural links to the Pacific Region provides a strong base to service those markets, said CEO Robert Hammond. "New Zealand is a focus market for Clark. We have had a long history in New Zealand and the region centred particularly in the stevedoring, heavy industry and transport sectors. Clark will now be expanding into more of the industrial and commercial growth markets, Mr Hammond said.
"Clark's forklift range has widened from our range of gas and diesel powered trucks with a new generation of electric trucks and warehousing equipment meeting the needs of the broader industry.” Clark Equipment New Zealand has announced a number of key appointments to accelerate our growth.
Mark Grover will be taking over responsibility as General Manager of the expanded New Zealand operation. Clint Radovancich will be the Manager in the South Island. Ross Easton will be focused on the Omega Heavy Truck product. Warrick Reid has taken on a new role as Business Manager in the Clark Forklift Division.
Further appointments will be made in the coming months.
