It is reported that U.S. Steel has announced to rise its new flat steel prices by US$55/short ton; it has been highly expected that this action may push other mills to follow up and join the price hiking game in U.S. market.

However, it is not yet has any updated news showed that other mills have announced for new price hiking.

Actually, before U.S. Steel to announce for new price hiking, the flat steel price has started to slip in U.S. market due to the slow purchase activity.

The news said that market buyers have not rushed on restart new purchasing.
