The TIA has opened its doors to nominations for next year's Toy of the Year Awards.
The North American 2016 Toy of the Year Awards are now open for entry.
The toy Industry Association is now accepting toy, game and property submissions across 12 categories for the annual ceremony held in February.
Toy companies, inventors, retailers and others are now invited to nominate contenders by logging into their TIA account and completing the online nomination form.
Nominations will then be put to a committee comprised of up to 70 experts, including journalists, academics, retailers and more to select the finalists. Each product entered will be considered on it creativity, originality and innovation.
Finalists will be revealed and five ballots will open for consumers, retailers, media and TIA members on November 17th this year.
The 2016 Toy of the Year winners will then be revealed at the annual TOTY Awards ceremony in February next year at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
There is no limit to the number of products or properties a nominator may submit for a single toy, but no more than two products from one company will be named as finalists in a single award category.
One winner will be selected in each category, as well as the over Toy of the Year and People’s Choice award winners. Nominations will close on friday, October 2nd.
The awards ceremony will kickstart the 113th North American International Toy Fair.
