Export of Venza Crossover Vehicles to South Korea Is Begunned by Toyota

Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor's vehicle manufacturing subsidiary in Kentucky, US has started exporting Venza crossover vehicles to South Korea.

The automaker, which had started vehicle exports in October 2012, will export 600 units to South Korea per year.

The company said the Venza will join Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana manufactured Sienna minivans and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky manufactured Camry and Camry Hybrid sedans exported there since 2011.

In 1988, Toyota started exporting US manufactured vehicles and currently it exports US manufactured vehicles to 21 countries and regions globally including Canada and Mexico.

The vehicle exports, totaling about 85,000 units in 2011, are expected to increase to over 130,000 units in 2012.

Earlier in November 2012, Toyota had started production of the new Auris compact hatchback at its Burnaston plant near Derby, UK.
