Halogen and LED Lamps Has Moved Its European Headquarters to Corby in The UK

A company which works with some of the largest retailers and electrical distributors in the world supplying private label and branded compact fluorescent, halogen and LED lamps has moved its European headquarters to Corby in the UK, further illustrating the nation's significance on global lighting markets.

TCP Lighting - a US company which currently supplies Homebase - has made the £1 million move as part of a business restructuring programme, Lighting Magazine reported, in a bid to capitalise on growth in the UK.

As the government looks for ways to consolidate growth of businesses, the news that the new headquarters only has 15 employees with room for this to treble could prove positive for the lighting market, as well as the UK jobs market and economy as a whole.

Chief executive of the company's European, Middle Eastern and African regions operations Thomas Luecke said of the move: "With sales of our LED lighting being particularly strong in the UK, relocating our headquarters to the UK means that we are now much closer to our major retail and professional lighting customers."

For such an influential company - TCP Lighting is currently on track to reach sales totalling £25 million by the end of the year - to bring its business to domestic shores could arguably illustrate the UK's competitiveness on the lighting markets.

Therefore, consumers should capitalise on this as there is really no excuse now to have outdated, energy-guzzling, bad quality lighting in properties!

With spring cleaning and the new fiscal year giving individuals a real sense of a fresh start, why not use this as an excuse to install some new bathroom light fittings? Doing so might improve the quality of light in the room, which may be necessary as the daylight can often be slightly worse than in other areas of the house due to frosted glass or smaller windows that are typical of bathrooms.
