Launch of daily satellites means poker players could yet earn their seats at the Sky Poker Tour Grand Final in September.
Online poker giants, Sky Poker have launched three daily satellites, giving top poker players from across the country the chance to earn their seats at this year's Sky Poker Tour Grand Finals, without needing to buy-in directly.
After what seems like months of tense competition, the 2011/12 Sky Poker Tour will sadly be coming to end on September 8th and 9th at Nottingham's Dusk Till Dawn Casino. Of course for such a prestigious event players should expect the tour to finish with a bang, and Sky Poker have certainly delivered on that front. They've already guaranteed poker players a massive GBP75,000 prize pool for the final, as well as scheduling to broadcast select games live via the Sky Poker TV channel.
However before taking their seats in Nottingham, players will have the chance to earn their place by participating in at least one of Sky Poker's three daily satellites- now available to play inside the Sky Poker lobby. Buy-ins for the satellites starts from just GBP8, however depending on the qualification stage this may creep higher. The daily satellites will run as follows:
- Daily Semi-Finals (1 in 10 win a seat into the Grand Final) daily at 9:30pm. GBP36 Buy-in.
- Daily Satellites (1 in 5 win a seat into the Semi-Final) GBP8 Buy-in.
- Daily Semi-Final Frenzies (1 in 20 win a seat into the 9:30pm Semi-Final) GBP2 Buy-in.
Like the previous six Sky Poker Tour events the Grand Final in Nottingham will consist of Bounty Hunter events as well as official Sky Poker Tour side events. The winner of the Sky Poker Tour leader board- which has run throughout the tour- will also be announced after the grand finale, with the lucky player picking up a GBP1,000 buy-in to any future live event of their choice, plus buy-ins to every Sky Poker Tour 2012-13 Main Event for the following season!
Players should bear-in-mind that if they do miss out on qualifying for September's grand final- via the satellite rounds- they will have the chance to buy-in directly later. However it will cost GBP330, so it's best to get stuck in and play now!
