The most capable factory-produced Wrangler ever – the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition – has arrived in Australia.
Fiat Chrysler Australia has secured 30 of the limited edition Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary vehicles for our market – 12 two-door models and 18 four-doors – commemorating a decade of Wrangler Rubicon production.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary is powered by the brand’s 209kW/347Nm 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar petrol engine and is available with either a six-speed manual (with a 73.1:1 crawl ratio) or an optional five-speed automatic transmission for an extra $2000.
A 13mm increase in ride height allows the Wrangler’s Goodyear tyres more room to claw at terrain. The rubber wraps around satin black 17-inch Rubicon aluminium wheels with polished faces and red Wrangler ‘icon’ logos on the outside lip.
The dual-intake ‘Power Dome’ bonnet aids engine cooling and gives the car a more menacing front-on appearance, while Mopar rock rails provide extra protection from trail damage. The black fuel filler cover and tail-light guards are also supplied by Mopar.
Red-silhouette Rubicon decals line the sides of the bonnet and 10th Anniversary badges distinguish the front quarter panels.
The three-piece body-colour ‘Freedom’ hardtop and the soft-top are both included in the Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary package, which is available is available in white and Anvil grey (pictured) paint colours.
The cabin gets its own unique look, highlighted by red leather seats with ‘Rubicon 10th Anniversary’ embroidering and matching red stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and centre console.
The new gauge cluster features oil pressure, oil temperature and tyre pressure readouts and a ‘10th Anniversary’ signature.
The passenger grab handle, air vent rings, steering wheel spokes and interior door handles are finished in silver, while final design touches include Mopar slush mats, unique axle locker and sway bar disconnect switches, and a special build plate plaque in the dash tray.
Australian-market 10th Anniversary models also come equipped with a 6.4-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation, Uconnect media system and a reversing camera, as well as front seat side airbags and dark-tinted rear and quarter glass.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition costs $49,000 as a two-door and $53,000 in four-door Unlimited form.
