InControl Medical has launched InTone, a non-surgical and no-drug solution designed for effective, non-invasive treatment of female urinary incontinence.
InTone which is listed as a class II medical device by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has currently 95% success rate.
Dr Lauren Streicher, associate clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University's medical school noted women who suffer from involuntary loss of urine are often afraid to laugh, sneeze, cough or run without wearing a diaper or pad.
"All of my patients treated with InTone have had improvement in symptoms and many have actually gone from diapers to dry. They are relieved to know that there is a safe, effective option they can use in the privacy of their own home," Dr Streicher added.
InTone, designed and manufactured in the US with locally sourced materials, is developed as an effective treatment for stress, urge and mixed female urinary incontinence.
It resolves bladder leakage through strengthening pelvic muscle by incorporating several patented muscle stimulation algorithms in combination with active resistance and biofeedback.
This combination of muscle stimulation and active exercise acts as a 'trip to the gym' for the pelvic floor.
