Packaging machine company Theegarten-Pactec will be showcasing its new design-optimized CWM2 packaging machine for chocolate products at this year's IPACK-IMA, scheduled to be held from May 19-23 in Italy.
The machine has been designed for easier access and improved ergonomics that makes maintenance and cleaning simpler.
The equipment's modular construction with easily reproducible settings has made the changeover between wrapping styles and formats simpler.
Equipped with a separate servo motor, the infeed belt is now capable of easier speed adjustment after changes of format.
The CWM2 is also flexible in accommodating fluctuations in product infeed that are otherwise typical when packaging enrobed products.
The machine has a capacity of producing up to 500 packaged chocolate articles per minute. It is also equipped to process all conventional wrapping foils.
Continuous wrapping material infeed with servo technology enables packaging materials to be cut at different lengths for inner and outer wrappers.
It also comes with a simple touchscreen which can perform error diagnosis and data collection functions. Some of its other functions are "No product - no packaging" function, automatic changing of wrapping material reels, remote diagnostics, and automatic ejection of double-wrapped products.
The equipment is also designed to produce an array of wrapping styles. At the exhibition, it will wrap Italian chocolate pralines using an envelope fold wrapping style. Manual feed band will be used for product infeed.
A few of the other wrapping styles that are available are double twist, top twist, side twist, top clip and bunch wrap.
