Residents, environmental groups complain of possible noise, air, water pollution. (CW Group) Objections have been raised against the planned expansion of a limestone quarry in Groβenlüder, Germany, a report from Fulda Info said. According to the report, a citizen group, BBU and the environmental group BUND have raised concerns regarding Otterbein's plan to deepen the Hessian quarry. The BBU stated that the project is ineligible due to its inconsistencies with existing health related laws. The group currently seeks to protect the neighborhood's drinking water. The environmental group stated that there are many deficits in the planned expansion. The appeal seeks to protect the biodiversity of the area that is expected to be heavily affected by the operation. Source: bmweek.com
