The firm has also outlined its plans to open a further 14 high street stores this year.
Family run toy chain, The Entertainer is gearing up to open its landmark 100th store next month.
The new store will be situated in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, the same county in which the firm opened its first shop 34 years ago.
Opening on Saturday, March 14th, the opening will be celebrated with a special trolley dash with selected participants from a local children’s charity, PACE.
Children from the local school will also be joining in the celebrations by taking part in a number of arts and crafts activities as well as a meet and greet with their favourite pre-school characters.
Mix 96 – the local media and radio station – will be on hand to cover the Grand Opening with prizes on offer.
The Entertainer ended 2014 in a strong position, with a reported 12,2 per cent increase in total sales in the five week leading up to December 27th.
On the strength of last year’s results – that also saw online activity grow by over five per cent – the retailer now plans to open an additional 14 high street stores across the UK this year.
