Finland-based packaging solutions provider Mets Board is set to introduce Carta Allura, a new cartonboard, which has been designed especially for luxury packaging.
According to the company, the new cartonboard features smoothness that makes it suitable for foil lamination, high-gloss varnish and special effects.
Featuring more brightness and better visual appearance, Carta Allura is said to be said to be suitable for beautycare, high-end food and beverages as well as graphic applications.
Mets Board claims that as Carta Allura is light-weighted, this will result in more carton productions per ton while improving sustainability.
The new cartonboard's consistency and stiffness makes production processes trouble-free. Its reverse side is also coated for offering a good finish to the inside of the carton.
Mets Board beautycare and healthcare commercial director Christophe Baudry said, "Hot foil stamping and foil lamination work best with an exceptionally smooth surface, and that is exactly what Carta Allura provides."
The company will exhibit its new cartonboard at PCD - Perfumes, Cosmetics and Design Packaging in Paris, to be held from 5-6 February 2014.
