MOMAD METROPOLIS, the International Fashion Trade Show, a multi-sector fashion event organised by IFEMA and staged last September, is preparing the exhibition for its second event, which is due to take place 14th and 16th February in Halls 4, 12 and 14.0 at Feria de Madrid.
This trade show will coincide with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM)), the grand promotional showcase for Spanish fashion to be held from 14th to 18th February in Hall 14.1-. The coinciding dates and venue for the staging of these two events will bring together the leading players from the fashion industry in Spain (manufacturers and designers) over a period of several days at adjacent venues within the IFEMA exhibition centre, whilst also extending the range of products and services available to trade buyers.
This coincident staging is just the first phase of a new arrangement that is due to be introduced in September 2014.
On that date, MOMAD METROPOLIS, the most comprehensive trade showcase for the clothing, footwear and accessories industry on the Iberian Peninsula, will coincide permanently in subsequent years with the staging of GIFTRENDS Madrid, International Gift, Decoration, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week, featuring representation from the fashion, accessory, fashion jewellery, jewellery and decoration sectors in general.
This will provide trade buyers with a complete overview of the field of fashion at the same venue and on the same dates, whilst also constituting the largest showcase in Spain for the trends of the moment.
Adjustments to the Exhibition Layout at MOMAD METROPOLIS
The first staging of MOMAD METROPOLIS concluded with some satisfactory results in terms of visitors and participation, based on a total figure of 17,423 professionals from some 70 different countries. Nevertheless, at the second staging of the event, certain readjustments will be made to different aspects of the exhibition, all of which enjoy the full support of the different sectors represented at the event.
These changes include the exhibition layout, as well as the management of visitor registration and circulation. In this respect, the organisers seek to facilitate the trade buyers' circulation throughout the trade fair, whilst also making MOMAD more attractive to the leading Spanish and foreign companies within the clothing, footwear and accessories industry.
With regard to the layout, the youth and inter-seasonal fashion collections relating to clothing, footwear and accessories, will continue to be presented in Hall 4, where they achieved some highly satisfactory results.
The rest of the collections from the contemporary and casual clothing sector shall be brought together in Hall 14. For its part, contemporary and casual footwear will be showcased in Hall 12. These changes have been made at the request of visitors to the trade fair, who believe that their visit to the event will be more effective with this new format.
