The 22nd IFSCC Conference will take place from October 30 to 1 November 2013 at Windsor Barra Hotel, Rio de Janiero. Brazil will host for the first time one of the most important scientific events of the cosmetic industry.
With the theme of Boosting Cosmetic Science in Rio, the Brazilian Association of Cosmetology (ABC) and the Scientific Committee in conjunction with a partnership with NürnbergMesse Brasil, will aim to show the world the greatness of this region through technological advances of scientific research. This is the first IFSCC Conference to present the Johann Wiechers Award. The award is given to an author working up to 40 years from the date of presentation of work. The ABIHPEC Award will be presented to the best work offered by the Brazilian Association of the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance (ABIHPEC). This will be an incentive for professionals, researchers and students of the country attending the IFSCC Conference 2013 and increase the development of cosmetic science in Brazil. There is no age restriction for this award, but the senior author must always be Brazilian. The IFSCC Conference Award will be offered to the best original paper (Podium or Poster) of the whole IFSCC Conference 2013. To compete in the Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Prize category, a young scientist should write an essay on one of the five selected themes. The winner of this essay contest will have their essay published in the IFSCC Magazine as well as attend the IFSCC Conference 2013 all expenses paid to present their work at the event.
