Plexxikon has selected Certara's D360 software solution for scientific data access and analysis.
The company's scientists will use D360 to produce integrated project data views and to mine structure activity relationships by using data from their existing chemical registration and biological assay databases, Isentris and Assay Explorer.
Plexxikon lab operations senior director Phillip Kiboneka said they found D360 to be the solution for Plexxikon because of its flexibility to support workflows for discovery scientists and its ready connectivity to their existing data sources.
"We now have a system that transforms, formats and visualizes data very easily," Kiboneka added.
Certara sales and marketing SVP James Hayden said, "Several pharma and biotech companies have adopted D360 as their "data-out" solution because it uniquely allows users to build their own queries - regardless of the actual data source - and it can be deployed very rapidly."
D360 provides a single, integrated view of data from data sources such as relational data systems and web services as well as collaborates by automating a complete search and analysis workflow.
The software solution also provides alternate data views that support biologists' workflows.
