It’s reported that Korea’s import prices of hot rolled coils (HRC) and heavy plates drop in July.
According to statistics, Korea’s HRC import prices averaged at US$594/ton in July, decreasing by US$8/ton from a month ago.
In July, the import prices of HRC from Japan were at US$610/ton, slumping by US$24/ton; those of HRC from China were at US$559/ton, decreasing by US$8/ton, both compared to the figures in a month ago.
Meanwhile, Korea’s HRC imports totaled 409,054 tons in July, including 177,121 tons from China and 208,838 tons from Japan.
