US-based specialized polymer materials manufacturer PolyOne is all set to expand its business operations in India.
According to the company, construction of the new plant has already been started at Pune in Indian state of Maharashtra for the production of specialty materials, including solid masterbatch, liquid colorant and additives.
The plant, which is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2014, will operate development labs as well as sales and customer service center for the region.
PolyOne managing director for operations in India Vikas Vij said the plant's design capabilities and enhanced production flexibility will enable the company to provide its customers with better solutions and improved delivery times.
"Demand for advanced specialty solutions in India is increasing - particularly in automotive, packaging, wire and cable and healthcare - and our expanded presence will position PolyOne exceptionally well to collaborate with and serve our customers," added Vij.
