The Export Value of Turkey's Steel Falls by 11.3 Percent in July

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in July this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.1 billion in value, decreasing by 11.3 percent year on year and down 3.1 percent as compared to the previous month.

In July this year, Turkey's motor vehicle sector had the highest export value of the country's industrial sectors with $1.96 billion, increasing by 35.4 percent compared to July 2012, while steel was the sector with the fourth highest export value.

On the other hand, in the first seven months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to $8.6 billion, falling by 7.8 percent year on year.
