Balance Bar, a US-based developer of nutrition energy bars, has launched its new Balance Bar Dark line, which will be available in three flavors.
The three flavors in the new range includes Dark Chocolate Crunch, Dark Chocolate Coconut and Dark Chocolate Peanut. All the three flavors are coated with dark chocolate.
The new bars are rich in protein, certified gluten free, an excellent source of antioxidants, certified kosher dairy and contain 4g of fiber per serving, said the company.
The Balance Bar Dark line will follow the 40-30-30 nutrition principle - a proven formula developed by scientists to help stabilize blood sugar levels. This is the first nutrition bar line in the market which bears the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal, according to the company.
Balance Bar Company president and CEO Peter Wilson said that the Rainforest Alliance certification assures consumers that their cocoa beans are grown on sustainably managed farms, which will not cause any harm to people and their surrounding ecosystems of water, soil and wildlife.
