According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in November last year increased by 15.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year following the 6.8 percent year-on-year increase recorded in October.
In November, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 13.4 percent year on year and registered a 19.5 percent fall from the previous month, after a decline of 10.3 percent in October compared to September. In November, the industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing, except machinery and equipment, increased 18.4 percent year on year and by 19 percent from the previous month, after a 12.7 percent decrease in October compared to September.
The turnover of the domestic sales of Turkish basic metals manufacturing increased by 21.95 percent in November, while foreign sales were up by 14.45 percent, both month on month. In the month in question, a 18.50 percent month-on-month increase was recorded in the domestic sales turnover in manufacture of fabricated metal products, with foreign sales increasing by 19.93 percent compared to the previous month.
