Brake and control systems provider SORL Auto Parts has received an order to supply 400 new electric air compressors for China based energy bus manufacturer Shen Zhen Wuzhoulong Motors.
SORL Auto Parts has also received an indication of purchasing interest for the same products from other large bus manufacturers in China.
The new generation of electric air brake compressor is powered by an electric motor,increasing fuel conservation and reducing pollution.
SORL's new compressor,which was released in July 2012,will start or stop working easily,extending the life span.
SORL chief engineer Huaping Wang said electric powered bus is a new growth area in China.
"It is estimated that by 2020,the production capacity of pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles will reach 2 million units,while cumulative production and sales are expected to exceed 5 million units,"Wang said.
