Votorantim Metais, U. S. Zinc Announce Key Executive Leadership Promotions

Votorantim Metais and its affiliate U.S. Zinc has announced key changes to the company’s leadership team. Rodrigo Daud will serve as chief commercial officer for Votorantim Metais and Tracy Baugh has been promoted to president of U.S. Zinc. The new assignments are effective immediately.

In his new role, Daud will be filling a newly created position which will focus Votorantim Metais’ global growth efforts in zinc, nickel and copper; and in particular, the concentrate markets. Daud will remain on as chairman of the board for U.S. Zinc. The 16-year veteran of Votorantim companies had served as U.S. Zinc’s president since 2012.

“This organizational change shows the strong commitment Votorantim has toward continuing to grow within the metal markets,” said Daud. “I look forward supporting this growth strategy both globally and with U.S. Zinc.”

Baugh, the former executive vice president commercial for U.S. Zinc, will be responsible for leading the global operations and results of U.S. Zinc as a whole.

“I am proud to accept this new position and to build on our 65-year history of being a global leader in zinc products,” said Baugh.“My position will be further enhanced by the support of Rodrigo’s new role, created to oversee Votorantim’s investments in metal, including U.S. Zinc.”

“Tracy is a proven leader with extensive knowledge in commercial operations and implementing innovative programs,” added Daud. “He is the ideal individual to execute our vision for future growth and success.”

Since joining the company in 2011, Baugh has been responsible for the sales, procurement and market development areas of U.S. Zinc’s business. A search for Baugh’s replacement will begin immediately.
