Itema S.p.A Participates in ITMACH 20

Itema S.p.A, a producer of advanced weaving machinery participated in the recently concluded textile technology trade fair, ITMACH 2014 held in Gandhinagar, in Gujarat, India.

Itema was also one of the sponsors of “India – Opportunities for Global Investment in Textiles”, a textiles conference which ran concurrently to ITMACH.

Speaking about the fair, Updeep Singh, MD at Itema India said, “This trade fair has been a fundamental opportunity for Itema and it exceeded our expectations as we registered more than 200 contacts.”

He added, “We had the chance to meet the most important weavers of the region and our valuable customers visited us to confirm new orders for 2015.”

According to Singh, Itema took home the huge potential of growth of Gujarat and the consciousness that Itema is the perfect partner to satisfy the demanding needs of these weavers in all segments.

For the denim and apparel segments, Itema offers, three weft insertion technologies and versatility with its two rapiers options.

The weaving machine producer also provides productivity and energy savings with its new airjet portfolio and premium heavy denim with its exclusive projectile machine.

Itema recorded a 12 per cent year-over-year increase in sales and is the only manufacturer in the world to provide the top three shuttleless weft insertion technologies: rapier, airjet and projectile.

Itema India has over the years, developed a comprehensive sales and after-sales service organization operating from own offices in Mumbai, Coimbatore, New Dehli and Kohlapur.

“The Indian division has played a fundamental role contributing to the overall positive result for the Italian Company and has registered a record growth in 2014 sales,” Itema said.

Itema will also exhibiting in Coimbatore at SIMA Texfair and in Mumbai at GTTES, both in January. (AR)
