Mitsui Chemicals had shut a naphtha cracker located in Osaka, Japan for maintenance turnaround on September 19, 2013, and the plant is likely to restart operations in the beginning of October 2013.
“The naphtha cracker has Ethylene production capacity of 450, 000 mt/yr, and it is likely to restart operations in early October,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
The official added that they have no plans for capacity expansion at Osaka right now.
