DuPont Plans to Expand Its $50m Knowledge Center in Hyderabad

DuPont, an American chemical company, plans to expand its $50m knowledge center in Hyderabad, India. The company has planned for the expansion in order to develop products and services in various fields for the global market. 

Following the expansion, the knowledge center will become the company's largest R&D facility outside the US. The centre will also begin the development of light-weight auto components as a part of variant application development works, reported The Hindu.

The facility in India along with other laboratories in South East Asia will use a significant share from the company's investment of $2bn on R&D annually.

DuPont South Asia president Rajeev Vaidya said that expansion will support their global trait discovery research and will also work on titanium technologies and with this expertise the company will also work on particle technology and polymer processing for applications in plastics.
