KBA to Exhibit Half-Format Presses at German Manufacturing Facility

Printing presses maker Koenig & Bauer (KBA) is set to exhibit its two half-format presses at its manufacturing facility in Radebeul, Germany.

The Rapida 75 PRO and Rapida 76 presses will be exhibited during a series of open days daily through to 6th July.

Part of the KBA-Sheetfed portfolio, the Rapida 75 PRO can be used in a broad production spectrum in B2 format

With advanced substrate flexibility and configuration freedoms, the press will enable to use up to ten colours, as well as additional coating and perfecting units. It offers a production speeds up to 16,000 sheets per hour.

The half-format Rapida 76 is said to be designed for the customers, who cannot use the output capacity of a B1 press.

The press features advanced features, including DriveTronic technology, fully automatic plate changing and Venturi sheet guiding options. It is a sporty half-format Rapida press that provides speeds up to 18,000 sheets per hour.

In March this year, KBA laid the oundation stone of a new digital and flexographic press demo centre at its Würzburg parent plant in Germany.

The 21,164m³ demo centre represents an investment totalling €6m including technical infrastructure. It features an usable area of around 2.100 m².

The new demo centre will be developed to offer presentation facilities with easy access to Frankfurt International Airport for customers coming in from new markets.
