Amcor Has Produced New Sustainable Packaging for BéNéCafe Brand

Amcor Flexibles Europe & Americas has produced new sustainable packaging for Belgium-based Beyers Coffee's BénéCafe brand.

The newly produced NaturePlus Renewable is a three-ply laminate based on renewably sourced materials, reports packagingnews.co.uk.

The product launch sees NaturePlus Renewable used in a coffee bag format containing 58% carbon based on the standardised analytical test method (ASTM) D6866 to test carbon-neutral CO2 emissions. The method is used for determining the bio-based carbon content of solid, liquid and gaseous samples using radio carbon analysis.

The barrier properties and seal integrity of the bag will allow coffee to retain its freshness and aroma, Amcor claims.

Beyers Coffee sustainability product manager Nathalie Vanderkindere said Amcor's expertise in sustainability and product knowledge has enabled the company to develop renewable packaging for the BénéCafé brand.
