Softwood lumber suppliers are still not yet registering any fundamental upswing in demand even now the summer holidays are over in southern Germany. The number of enquiries received remained relatively low in the early days of September as well. The volume of sales on the domestic market is being described as sluggish by most. There have not yet been any recognisable signs of a near-term, fundamental increase in demand from the main western European export markets either.
