Feihe International,a leading producer and distributor of food products in China,has introduced the Product Inquiry System(PIS)for infant formula products,in order to improve product traceability.
According to the company,consumers can access the PIS by entering the tracing number at the bottom of each can of packaged AstroBaby,Feifan and Super Feifan products.
After entering the information,consumers would be able to obtain important information regarding a product they have purchased-such as the product's milk producing region,production factory,production date,production batch,testing point and testing date.Consumers will also be able view the production process.
Feihe International chairman and CEO Leng You Bin said the system is based on the company's vertical integration model and embodies its core competency.
"We keep our production procedures transparent to our consumers because we understand the challenges that Chinese dairy companies face today,"Bin added.
In addition,the company has also announced the launch of Super Feifan,a new super premium infant formula series.
Feihe International,headquartered in Beijing,China,produces premium infant formula,milk powder and soybean,rice and walnut.The company has a distribution network that reaches over 80,000 retail outlets throughout China.
