PV module maker Win Win Precision Technology has cooperated with a Japan-based PV vendor to co-market HeatCap, patented PV modules developed by Win Win Precision, in the Japan rooftop PV system market, according to PV industry sources.
HeatCap is made through coating silicon carbide on the back of solar cells before packaging into PV modules. The coating is able to ruggedize PV modules to increase resistance to negative environmental conditions, the sources said. Production costs for HeatCap are less than 10% higher than conventional PV modules, the sources indicated. Win Win Precision has obtained patents for HeatCap in several countries, the sources noted.
Through cooperation with the Japan-based PV vendor, Win Win Precision is expected to sell 20-25MWp of HeatCap modules in the Japan market in 2015, the sources indicated. In addition, Win Win Precision is likely to sell 5-7MWp of HeatCap in the Germany market in 2015, the sources said.
