Crown Food Europe, a subsidiary of Crown, has installed a new metal packaging production line at Bonduelle Group's Novotitarovskaia plant in Krasnodar Krai, southern Russia.
The new line is expected to meet the growing demand from consumers.
With the move, Crown has streamlined Bonduelle's production process and supply chain at the facility to support the supplier in handling can inventory and simplify logistics.
Bonduelle Russia general manager Hervé Caroff said as Russian consumption continues to grow, it is important to ensure that the company's operations run effectively.
"With Crown locally manufacturing our food cans, it provides our company with the best opportunity to improve its flexibility, service and product delivery," Caroff added.
The new in-house line manufactures cans to pack sweet corn and peas and also expands Crown's presence in Russia.
Crown Food Europe senior vice president Didier Sourisseau said, "Crown and Bonduelle have a long history of partnership and we are committed to supporting them to develop their business in growth territories."
