Fortis Solutions Group, a provider of printing, packaging, and labeling solutions, has acquired US-based Action Packaging Systems to strengthen its business.
Action Packaging Systems is engaged in providing pressure sensitive prime, promotional and thermal labels in the US.
The firm, which has operations in Ellington, Connecticut and High Point, North Carolina, also provides custom labels, thermal transfer barcode printers, barcode labeling software and other products.
Fortis president and CEO John Wynne said: “We look forward to continuing this philosophy utilizing the Company’s world class flexographic and digital assets.
“In addition, we are excited to add the Gold Seal label applicator product line to our differentiated offerings. We welcome the Action employees to the Fortis organization.”
The acquisition is part of Fortis Solutions’ efforts to expand its product offerings and locations to serve its customer base. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Action Packaging will now be operated under the Fortis Solutions Group name.

Action Packaging said that the partnership allows it to offer new capabilities for product decoration for its customers.
Fortis Solutions offers pressure sensitive labels, extended booklet printing, variable data printing, multi-ply coupon printing and flexible packaging printing.
