Italian kidswear brand Il Gufo is unveiling its second colourful machine-washable Merino wool capsule collection.
The collection launched in partnership with The Woolmark Company compromises of 100% Merino wool sweaters, cardigans and turtlenecks.
The Woolmark Company said the line developed under its ‘Mothers and Babies’ program, spreads the message that Merino wool is the natural choice of clothing for children.
The Merino wool marketer added that Merino wool is naturally breathable, making it an efficient temperature regulator and is soft and smooth on the skin.
"In addition, every Merino fibre has a natural protective outer layer that resists dirt and helps prevent stains being absorbed”, it informed.
The Il Gufo collection has been tested to prevent shrinkage, colour fastness and felting by independent laboratories.
The launch of the new Merino wool collection will coincide with the opening of a new Il Gufo store in Milan.
Established in 1964, the Woolmark is the world's best known textile fibre brand and is owned by Australian Wool Innovation, a not-for-profit company owned by more than 25,000 woolgrowers.
Il Gufo is a leading Italian luxury clothing brand for children, specialized in designing, producing and distributing unique, high quality collections for children and is present in more than 37 countries. (AR)
