The UK based Yuasa Battery Sales has launched two new automotive battery conductance analysers, MDX-617 and 617P which support tests conducted under the overall battery management process.
Features of the new MDX-617/P analyser include 5-line text/graphical backlit display, voltage range 1 to 30V DC and 24 languages, while the MDX-617P variant features an incorporated thermal printer which can be customised as per the requirements.
Powered by a battery and positioned in acid-resistant ABS plastic, the new Yuasa MDX-617/P can be operated in a temperature range from 0 to 50°C and can be employed in harsh workshop environments.
According to the company, the new analysers can be deployed with various battery technologies including AGM, Gel, lead-acid and spiral.
The new analysers offer three test functions as standard which include warranty test mode, standard battery mode, and new battery mode.
Warranty test mode of the analysers will generate a specified warranty test code, allowing users to cut costs related to warranty claims by determining accountability and responsibility.
The analyser's standard battery mode deploys conductance testing, which verifies the ability of a battery to transmit current through its internal structure.
Standard battery mode of new analysers can also detect cell defects, short circuits and normal ageing, while the new battery mode of the analyser is a test which determines the health of unused batteries.
The new MDX-617/P include automotive, motorcycle and truck while has a capability of testing 6V and 12V batteries equipped on 6V, 12V and 24V systems.
