The US-based babywear specialist Aden and Anais has collaborated with the Australian-based international wool textile organisation The Woolmark Company to create a luxurious range of pure Merino Muslin made fabrics for infants and young children.
Combining the American label’s signature muslin weave with pure Australian Merino wool, the machine washable cloth line includes the trademark softness, breathability and temperature regulation features of both the materials.
The entire collection comes with the Woolmark Nurture certification which guarantees the usage of nearly a micron of 18.5 or even lesser quantity of the luxurious Merino wool in the products that will feel ultra soft against the baby's skin.
Available for sale at the international Aden and Anais stockists as well as online at www.adenandanais.com, the aden + anais Pure Merino Muslin collection features a swaddle, sleeping bag, dream blanket and a security blanket.
The American company’s co-founder and CEO Raegan Moya-Jones said in a statement, “Over the years, we've grown to be recognised as the true innovators of muslin in the marketplace and I wanted to explore other fibres that would work with our signature muslin weave. Merino wool just seemed like the perfect fit - it's natural, breathable, and one of the loveliest fabrics I've ever felt.”
“The Woolmark Company is delighted to be working with an international leader in innovation, function and design,” comments The Woolmark Company’s Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer Rob Langtry about the collaboration with the Muslin firm.
“Our global Mothers and Babies program works in three main areas - funding scientific research into Merino wool's health benefits, innovative product development and creating awareness of the fibre's benefits. The partnership and product development with aden + anais further illustrates that demand for Australian Merino wool is growing in the babywear market,” he adds.
The Woolmark Company is the global authority on Merino fibres. The organization engages itself into the research and development of better textiles. The company’s iconic Woolmark symbol, which was born in 1964, withstands as a reassuring proof of extraordinary versatility and innate luxury of Merino wool for several decades.
