Flexible packaging firm ProAmpac has acquired US-based PolyFirst Packaging for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Wisconsin, PolyFirst Packaging is engaged in the production of printed/customized roll stock and various types of plastic pouches and bags.
PolyFirst’s cold seal and e-commerce products will complement ProAmpac’s existing flexible packaging product solutions.
ProAmpac will include PolyFirst business in its US flexible division.
With the latest acquisition, ProAmpac facilities increase to 25 manufacturing sites across the globe. The company offers services to around 5,000 customers in 90 countries.
PolyFirst’s former CEO will monitor the operations at both of its facilities located in Hartford of Wisconsin and Aurora of Illinois.
Pritzker Group Private Capital, along with management and co-investors, had acquired ProAmpac.
ProAmpac CEO Greg Tucker said: “The acquisition of PolyFirst provides us with cold seal capabilities and several new bag and pouch formats.
“Combined with our manufacturing expertise and award-winning printing assets, our customers will benefit from a more comprehensive service and product offering.”

In April this year, ProAmpac acquired another US-based firm Trinity Packaging for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Armonk of New York, Trinity provides flexible packaging solutions to the lawn and garden, food and specialty industrial markets.
ProAmpac provides packaging solutions to the food, pet care, healthcare, lawn care, and retail markets, in addition to the secure packaging for the transport of cash and valuables.
