Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia, US, has installed Masimo's noninvasive and continuous patient monitoring solutions.
The installation of Masimo SET pulse oximetry and rainbow Pulse CO-Oximetry will help in improving patient outcomes and reducing hospitals costs.
Masimo SET eliminates false alarms and increases a clinician's ability to detect life-threatening events, while Masimo rainbow SET allows clinicians to measure multiple blood constituents and other physiological parameters.
Various parameters include total hemoglobin, oxygen content, carboxyhemoglobin, methemoglobin,, Pleth Variability Index, and acoustic respiration rate, in addition to the Measure-Through Motion and Low Perfusion performance of Masimo SET oxyhemoglobin, perfusion index, and pulse rate.
In addition, the center has installed Masimo's Patient SafetyNet, which is clinically proven to reduce rapid response activations, intensive care unit transfers, and deaths related to opioid-induced respiratory depression.
Hamilton Medical Center Jeff Hughes cardiopulmonary and sleep services director said the center is involved in providing advanced medical technology.
"We use Masimo because we found that its innovative patient-monitoring solutions outperform competing devices, particularly in challenging patient-care environments," Hughes added.
