Additional Extruder Expands Recycler's Capacity
A new extrusion line has been commissioned by AXION Recycled Plastics Inc. to help it increase its manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand.?AXION is a reprocessor of recycled plastic materials.
The company selected a Davis-Standard 6 in. extruder, which will add an additional 1,800,000 lb of reprocessed (pelletized recycled plastic resin) to the company's monthly capacity. The machine can process post-consumer and post-industrial plastic.?
Davis-Standard designs and manufactures?high-performance plastics and rubber extrusion and converting systems, with a commitment to engineering equipment that is cost effective, durable, and offers a high return on investment. Product lines include: blow molding, blown and cast film, elastomer, extrusion coating, liquid coating and lamination, medical tubing, pelletizing, recycling, pipe, profile and tubing, sheet and foam, specialty including laboratory equipment and fiber, winding and unwinding, and wire and cable.
"This is a great accomplishment for us to commission this extrusion line, which will expand our capacity and capability to meet the increase in customer demands," commented AXION president and CEO Steve Silverman. With the addition of this extruder, we now operate 5 extrusion lines across 2 facilities, allowing us to provide value added products to our customers."
