A Mini Paceman designed by Italian fashion icon Roberto Cavalli has been auctioned at the 21st Life Ball charity event in Vienna.
Marking the 13th consecutive year Mini has donated a model to the Life Ball organisation, the Mini Paceman by Roberto Cavalli features a bespoke exterior paint finish – a custom colour that Cavalli has on his own cars – which shimmers between black and brown depending on the light, along with a gold roof and gold wheels.
Cavalli logos on the roof, headrests and sun visors join the designer’s signature on the Paceman’s door, ensuring that its exclusivity is clear for all to see.
Inside, the two-door Mini Paceman receives gold-stitched black quilted leather seats, black and gold trim highlights and animal prints on the leather-lined steering wheel and parts of the instruments – a Cavalli hallmark.
Designed for those “who are not shy of making a statement behind the wheel,” Cavalli said the one-off Mini Paceman was an exciting project to be a part of.
“It gave me the opportunity to be creative. I loved everything about creating and designing it, transforming the cult of Mini into the incredible Cavalli Mini.”
Other names to grace a Life Ball Mini model include last year’s designer Franca Sozzani, Italian Vogue chief editor, and fashion icon Donatella Versace.
Now in its 21st year, proceeds from the Life Ball event, including the auctioned Mini, go to helping those with HIV and AIDS.
